Mick George hooks up with Hyva for rapidly expanding fleet25 March 2015

Haulage, excavation and plant hire operator Mick George has ordered 65 trucks to add to its 200-strong fleet – with Hyva the firm’s only choice for tippers, skiploaders and hookloaders.

For tippers, for example, St Ives-based Mick George specifies all new vehicles with Hyva's lightweight separate ram and tank FC137 tipping gear, citing its good design, robustness and ease of operation.

For skiploaders and hookloaders, Hyva's Titan model is used, with its fully bolted construction, increased container security and faster on/off operation.

Jon Stump, finance director for Mick George, says Hyva has proved to be an "excellent long-term partner".

And he adds: "It's not just everyday product performance that matters, but crucially their whole life cost of operation - which also includes aftersales service support, parts supply and their impact on the residual values of our trucks.

"For us, Hyva is an ideal 'single point' supplier for the fleet as a whole."
