Mick George rolls out Econic city safety vehicles 23 June 2016

National construction industry operator Mick George has taken its safety truck standards one step further by investing in a fleet of new Mercedes-Benz Econic low entry trucks, hailing them as “the next generation in haulier transport”.

Transport manager Joe Gossage says the truck design puts drivers literally on a level playing field with other road users, and particularly pedestrians and cyclists.

The lower seating position and the 90% improved panoramic view – offered by the extended windows and fully glazed cab doors – help drivers navigate busy urban and city traffic, he explains.

And he adds that Mick George’s new safety trucks are also delivering improved fuel consumption, with a technical specification and ergonomic design that together make them far more environmentally friendly than their conventional N3G construction counterparts.

“Our new range of city safety vehicles complements our existing fleet of vehicles, and allows us to be a lot more targeted and efficient in our approach to safety for specific areas,” states Gossage.

“The safety of our staff, communities, clients, contractors and the people we work alongside is of utmost importance at Mick George,” he adds.
