Microlise announces transport conference agenda 23 April 2015

Telematics specialist Microlise has released the agenda for its Transport Conference (20th May, Ricoh Arena, Coventry), believed to be the largest dedicated to road transport ever held in the UK.

Industry lobbyist Quentin Willson returns as conference chair and will open the event.

He will be followed by Richard Burnett, chief executive of the RHA (Road Haulage Association), who will deliver the keynote, focusing on the 'state of the nation' and covering some of the RHA's aspirations for the future of the industry.

Highlights include: Caroline Hicks, head of enforcement transformation at DVSA; Aljosa Sitar, manager proactive services at Goodyear, discussing tyre related issues and explaining how telematics enables a transformation.

Others include speakers from the FTA, Transaid, Brit European, Nationwide Platforms, Aston University and Alloga (formerly Unidrug Distribution Group).

The event will also see the launch of the Microlise Driver of the Year awards, supported by the RHA, University of Nottingham and MAN Truck & Bus UK.

The awards are based on data collected by Microlise from more than 90,000 drivers. The RHA will select category and the overall winner, based on this data and employer questionnaires.

After attracting over 600 delegates in 2014, the event looks set to host more than 1,000 this year, along with over 30 industry exhibitors and sponsors.

The Microlise Transport Conference is sponsored by MAN, DAF Trucks, Vodafone, Zebra Technologies, Goodyear, Finch Group, RTITB and PTV Group.
