Mobile Mini health and safety director Chris Watcham, who heads up its transport team, describes the new trucks as innovative and fuel-efficient.
He also says they represent a major upgrade to Mobile Mini’s existing fleet of 41 lorry-mounted loader crane vehicles, and will provide additional lifting capacity and greater flexibility.
Watcham says the team worked closely with Scania, loader crane supplier Fassi and bodybuilder Adcliffe to ensure that each vehicle complies with FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme), specifying safety cameras, extendable marker lights for wide loads, and additional sensors to the back of trucks and trailers.
He also says that the loader cranes specified come in various sizes to meet different customer requirements, with a maximum capacity of 66 tonne-metres.
“Safety is at the forefront of everything we do... These new vehicles will not only improve on our already first class customer service, but will also help maintain our excellent safety record,” states Watcham.

“The new fleet has been designed from the outset to meet our exact specifications and will help increase our delivery efficiency across the UK.”
All of the trucks will b maintained under an R&M contract with Scania for the next seven years across the UK.
