More exhibitors reveal their highlights for the CV Show 18 March 2015

3Sixty Fleet, ATS Euromaster, Coolertech, Eclipse, Hella, Novadata, Paneltex, SDC Trailers, Tachosys and Teletrac are among the latest to announce their intentions for next month’s CV Show (14—16 April 2015, NEDC, Birmingham).

Fleet Watch will be 3Sixty Fleet's star at this year's show, with its package designed to assist managers with the 'before, during and after' of road traffic incidents.

"The ultimate aim is to save time and money for operators, as well as to drive down the cost to the industry following any road traffic accident, incident or breach of legislation," comments Andrew Drewary, 3Sixty Fleet's accident analyst.

Meanwhile, ATS Euromaster will celebrate its 50th anniversary with the launch of a guidebook for fleet managers at the CV Show. Group sales director Peter Fairlie says the Little Gold Book is aimed at helping fleet operators target improvements in cost control, uptime and productivity.

Elsewhere, temperature-controlled vehicle specialist Coolertech is to exhibit insulated vehicles in the show's Cool Pavilion – including a 7.5-tonne Fuso Canter with a dual compartment box body for frozen and chilled goods. The rear compartment is closed off with an insulated roller shutter door, while a tail-lift aids the loading and unloading of roll cages.

Then, Eclipse Automotive Technology will be exhibiting its latest multi-brand diagnostic systems, Jaltest and EDIS, now with functionality including 4,500 error codes for Euro 6 engines.

As for Hella, after a break of several years from the CV Show, the firm will be in the Workshop section exhibiting a line-up of its latest lighting, electrics, electronics and thermal management. Its theme for the stand is: "quality, innovation and value".

Moving on to transport training, and tachograph analysis specialist Novadata, its stand will be all about compliance for transport managers. "Knowing what you need to do to protect your O licence is essential, so we will be giving away plenty of advice for free," states Novadata chairman Derek Broomfield.

Meanwhile, British bodybuilder Paneltex will be featuring vehicles from all three of its UK truck and van sites, including: a sleeper-cabbed MAN 26-tonne rigid from the Hull; a MWB, high-roof VW Crafter with a Somers refrigerated panel van conversion and split-compartment body; and its latest 3.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz Sprinter twin-compartment vehicle, designed for the home delivery market and fitted with a GAH SR300 refrigeration system.

As for trailer manufacturer SDC, the firm is promising visitors a chance to see several semi-trailers, including its Fastliner buckleless curtainsider. The Libner design, with Eddie Stobart livery, has sliding concertina aluminium planks attached to curtains, running in a standard-fit roof rail and giving a clear side aperture for easy loading. SDC's design also offers increased aerodynamics, accessibility and safety functions.

Then, Tachosys' stand will be all about how to turn the mandatory digital tachograph into a vital source of information to assist with fleet management, not just compliance.

Since 2012, operators that have adopted Tachosys' remote download solution (digiDL) have been getting unattended Tachograph downloads, saving hundreds of man hours as a result. But now, Tachosys has expanded its functionality to include real-time driver information – similar to driver decision support (DDS) from Stoneridge and Continental. Traffic offices can see current driver status and use that to plan late contract loads.

And also aimed at fleet managers, Teletrac says it will be demonstrating one of the most advanced and interactive fleet automation suites on the market. Fleet Director software comes with on-board navigation and safety capabilities, as well as two-way messaging. What's more, it can track over 200,000 vehicles in 75 countries.

Customers report up to 30% lower fuel usage, an average of 15% less driver overtime, 12% higher productivity and less unauthorised vehicle use.
