Motor Transport opens awards for entries13 February 2012

Motor Transport has opened its annual awards for entries, and is calling on Britain's best commercial vehicle fleet engineers to get involved.

Previous winners of the Fleet Engineer of the Year Award include Paul Pinfold of Indesit, Steve Davis of TNT and Ian Markham of Comet.

After picking up last year's trophy, Pinfold said: "This is a very proud moment for me. I have been in the industry for over 30 years and this tops my career. I would like to thank my team – their hard work is why I am here today."

To become Fleet Engineer of the Year, you will need to show not only exceptionally high professional standards, but also evidence of innovation to improve the running of your commercial vehicle fleet.

The deadline for entries is 16 March and the finalists and overall winner will be announced on 13 June in London. Go to www.mtawards.co.uk for an entry form.
