MW Sweepers first to fit ISS safety kit to vehicle fleet 27 February 2015

Rochester-based MW Sweepers has become the first sweeping company in the UK to fit the Cyclear cyclist safety warning devices to its fleet of vehicles.

With its vehicles often operating in built-up or busy environments, MW Sweepers turned to vehicle safety technology specialist ISS (Innovative Safety Systems) to make them ultra-safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

Seven of MW Sweepers vehicles have now been equipped with ISS RX3 Hard Disk Recording, Reversing Radar and Cyclear, and the company has committed to fitting the equipment as standard to any new vehicle additions.

"More and more customers are asking for pedestrian and cyclist safety features and we believe this kind of equipment will be standard in a few years," comments Mike Walsh, who owns MW-Sweepers.

"I did quite a bit of research into what's available and ISS products came out on top every time," he continues.

"The great thing about ISS equipment is that it uses the latest high-spec technology but is also extremely reliable and built to last."
