New Adventure extends fleet with Opare and Scania14 May 2015

South Wales-based New Adventure Travel has expanded its 75-strong bus and coach fleet with 10 MetroCity and four Solo buses from Optare, as well as two K 360 IB4x2 Scania Irizar i6 coaches and its first Scania Touring Coach based on Scania's K 410 EB4x2 chassis.

The MetroCity buses, which are 10.8m long, seat up to 40 and have a single door, while two of the 7.9m slimline Solos have been fitted with seat belts and seat up to 23, and the other two seat up to 27.

As for the Scania coaches, the two-axle 12.45-metre length Irizar i6s have powered entrances and main locker doors, Bosch audio/video with two monitors, extra dark tinted glazing, passenger seats with leather headrests, three-point seat belts, footrests and seat back tables, servery and washroom.

Meanwhile, the Scania Touring has been equipped with LDWS (lane departure warning) and adaptive cruise control, as well as powered entrances, parallel lifting main lockers, 57 Kiel passenger seats with leather headrests, three-point seat belts, footrests and seat back tables, and a servery plus fridge.
