New Daily Euro 6 4x4 leads Iveco line-up at today’s Tip-Ex02 June 2016

Iveco’s New Daily Euro 6, and particularly the new 4x4, is taking pride of place on the joint Iveco and North East Truck & Van stand at Tip-Ex 2016 today (2—4 June 2016, Harrogate).

But the new range is far from alone, being accompanied by models from across Iveco’s truck range, as well as a CASE 821F wheel loader, manufactured by Iveco sister firm CASE Construction Equipment.

Iveco’s indoor exhibits are focused on the New Daily Euro 6 4x4, alongside a construction variant of the firm’s New Eurocargo 7.5 tonner and Trakker tipper.

The New Daily Euro 6 4x4 on show is a 180bhp, 24 forward gear, 5.5 tonner mounted with a dropside body. It is based on what Iveco describes as a rugged off-road chassis with a three-piece steel front bumper and this example runs on 225/100 R 16 Michelin off-road tyres for go-anywhere capability.

Iveco says this new 4x4 can handle gradients up to 45 degrees and approach angles of 49 degrees, with a wading depth of up to 660mm.

That makes it reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog – which appears to be the target, with the construction, emergency services, farming, forestry, local authority and utilities sectors all in the firing line.

As for the New Eurocargo tipper, the show truck is a 4x2 tipper, built with a Brit-Tipp body featuring Edbro tipping gear, day cab and the automated ZF EuroTronic transmission, supplied through Iveco’s ready to roll DriveAway programme.

Then the Trakker Hi-Track 8x4 tipper is a 32 tonner mounted with a 15m³ Boweld Taperlite heavy-duty body with a PM on-board weighing system, Edbro front-end tipping gear and a Vertiloc air-operated tailgate.

The show truck has Iveco’s low roof sleeper cab, and has the comfort pack – which adds an external sun visor, air-conditioning, door roller blinds and an air-suspended passenger seat.

Outoor exhibits include another Trakker 8x4 tipper, a New Eurocargo road sweeper and the CASE wheel loader – the latter fitted with a compost fork attachment. All trucks in this range over 14 tonnes are certified to Tier 4 Final (Stage IV) emissions requirements.
