New Daily Euro 6 takes Large Van of the Year award15 December 2016

Iveco’s New Daily Euro 6 was crowned Large Van of the Year at the 2017 What Van? Awards – the model’s third year of success, with the judges praising its Business Up connectivity package and Hi-Matic automatic transmission.

Unveiled at the April 2016 CV Show, at the NEC, Birmingham, New Daily Euro 6 follows in the footsteps of its International Van of the Year 2015 predecessor.

“Winning the What Van? Large Van of the Year award for the third-year running is testament to the range’s reliability, versatility and productivity – coupled with our best-in-class Hi-Matic transmission,” states Iveco brand president Pierre Lahutte.

“With New Daily Euro 6, we’ve made a winning van range even stronger, with new technology to maximise fuel efficiency, boost operational productivity and reduce emissions,” he adds.

All of the latter are in part achieved via the New Daily Euro 6’s new engine family, with outputs up to 210hp driving through its exclusive Hi-Matic eight-speed automatic transmission, coupled to Iveco’s latest intelligent EcoSwitch PRO system.

For the judges, though, the other aspect is New Daily Euro 6’s versatility – offering a gvw range of 3.5 to 7.2 tonnes, and cargo volumes from 7.3m³ up to 19.6m³ on panel vans.

The full range includes van, semi-windowed van, chassis cab, chassis cowl and crew cab models, including the largest panel van available on the domestic market.
