New-look Fiat Doblò Cargo makes its debut at IAA26 September 2014

Fiat has unveiled the new-look Doblò Cargo, including a new EcoJet version, at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover (25 September to 2 October 2014).

The vehicle's exterior has been upgraded and features a new sculpted bonnet and headlamps, with lower air intakes and fog light shrouds.

Engines have been upgraded, with the 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre turbo diesel units giving higher torque at lower revs.

On the 1.3-litre MultiJet II engine, says Fiat, this gives 40% more responsiveness than its Fiat Doblò predecessor.

The 90bhp 1.3 MultiJet II and 105bhp 1.6 MultiJet II engines are also available in new EcoJet versions to boost fuel economy and cut carbon emissions.

Additionally, the vehicle now includes start-stop technology, low rolling resistance tyres, low-viscosity oil, an 'intelligent' alternator and a variable-displacement oil pump.

Together, says Fiat, these enable the new Doblò Cargo to achieve 64 mpg and CO2 emissions of 115g/km.

Other features on the new model include a Traction+ system for better handling on slippery surfaces and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The new Doblò Cargo will be available in the UK from spring 2015.
