New van releases: Peugeot Partner, Citroen Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo02 July 2018

A new clutch of vans are available to UK light commercial vehicle operators from this autumn, with group company PSA Peugeot-Citroen unveiling vehicles for its Peugeot, Citroen and recently acquired Vauxhall brands.

The Peugeot Partner (pictured), new Citroen Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo all share new safety features such as factory-fitted rear-facing and passenger side mirror cameras, overload indicator sensor, plus a raft of smart driver assistance systems.

They have a maximum 1,000kg payload, 180-degree opening rear doors, medium or XL wheelbase and a five-seat crew cab option.

Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic electronic parking brake, lane departure warning system, automatic emergency braking and front collision warning. Other safety technology includes driver drowsiness detector, traffic sign recognition and off-road traction control.

The Peugeot Partner and New Berlingo come with a choice of 1.2-litre petrol engines (108bhp or 128bhp), or three diesel-powered variants up to 128bhp. Vauxhall Combo engine information has not yet been released.

The Peugeot Partner includes the brand’s i-Cockpit specification as standard – the first time it has been fitted to a commercial vehicle – which promises the driver “a mix of practicality and pleasure”.

All three brands have yet to announce pricing.
