"We were looking for a lube-free fifth wheel to specify on the latest batch of vehicles," explains Dave Seaton, NFT's fleet engineer.
"We had a trial unit [from Jost] which we ran for over six months, a little over 150,000km, and it performed faultlessly. So the decision to specify the product was a no-brainer."
The Jost product has a lube-free connection for the top plate liners, with a LubeTronic 1 Point system to ensure the lock jaw is properly lubricated for locking to the king pin.
