Nissan raises the bar with all-new Navara12 November 2015

Nissan has released details of its new NP300 Navara, saying it will be the most comfortable mass production pick-up truck when it goes on sale early next year.

Engineers were tasked with designing a model that delivered the same comfort and refinement as its crossover vehicles. They came up with a new five-link rear suspension system which gives improved ride quality, with no compromise on payload, towing capacity or off-road performance.

The suspension system is also 20kg lighter than that found in the last Navara model, so improving fuel economy and emissions. It also means the Navara has a payload rating of more than one tonne across the range and 3,500kg towing capacity.

“We knew we had to raise the bar in the pick-up sector and set a new benchmark for quality and comfort,” says James Oliver, Nissan’s LCV category manager.

“We’re delighted with the results and believe it offers class-leading levels of comfort and refinement for driver and occupants, as well as exceptional all-round performance and capability.”
