Novadata issues updated LGV50 report book28 August 2018

Transport compliance firm Novadata has updated its LGV50 Vehicle Check and Defect Report book to cover the DVSA’s latest Guide to Roadworthiness.

The updated LGV50 also includes additional items required for members of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).

Novada claims “thousands” of UK drivers use the vehicle check and defect report book during daily walkaround checks.

Section 6 of the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness says the operator must have a system in place to verify the quality of daily walkaround checks. Novadata says its revised book now helps to provide evidence of checks and records in the event of an inspection by the police, the DVSA or a traffic commissioner; it also helps users to provide “a robust record” for FORS membership applications, as well as demonstrating compliance with O licence undertakings and with the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Operators can purchase the latest LGV50 book, as well as other products and Driver CPC courses, on Novadata’s website: see the link below.
