Now Vauxhall protects delivery van drivers against false claims 04 November 2016

New and used car and van dealer Now Vauxhall says that, since expanding beyond London, with dealerships now in Swindon and Marlborough, its AGM routeMaster tracking system has become more important than ever.

Group parts manager Richard Sword says it’s not just about keeping tabs on the company’s fleet of parts delivery vans, but also protecting against false insurance claims.

“We've had incidents where people have claimed to have been in an accident with one of our vehicles and we've been able to confirm it wasn't actually there,” he explains.

And he adds that, as an employer, Now Vauxhall's duty of care extends to day-to-day running and the enforcement of speed limits etc.

“We use the system to run weekly speeding reports and discuss those with the van drivers accordingly.” States Sword, adding that the firm also get notification if its vehicles are being used out of hours.

“I'd used AGM routeMaster before when they were recommended to me,” continues Sword. “I looked at a few different offers this time but the product is very reliable and it does what we need it to do.”
