NWH Group on track with MAN tipper trucks31 January 2014

Construction services firm NWH Group has taken delivery of nine MAN TGS 32.400 8x4 tippers, which are being used for its contract on the Borders Railway Project.

The new sleeper-cabbed trucks join four other MAN 8x4s, taking spoil from the project site to NWH's quarry and returning with stone.

Dalkeith-based NWH took its first MAN trucks – six tractor units – in 2010, followed by four 8x4s for its tipper fleet. Fuel efficiency and reliability prompted the decision to order nine more, according to Mark Williams, managing director.

The muck-away specification MAN 8x4s have steel outreach bodies, Edbro tipping gear, on-board weighing equipment and rollover 'Easy Sheets'.

The latest 8x4s have been supplied on a five-year hire purchase deal through MAN Financial Services.
