The senior traffic commissioner is reminding fleet operators that new financial standing limits will apply from 1 January 2014.

Operator licence applicants and existing licence holders will be assessed against the new levels, which are required to demonstrate sufficient financial resource to maintain a vehicle safely on the road.

Standard national and international licence applicants will be required to demonstrate £7,400 for the first vehicle and £4,100 for each additional vehicle.

The rates for restricted licence holders and applicants remain at £3,100 for the first vehicle and £1,700 for each additional authorised vehicle.
