Operator upgrades fleet with Optare Solos and MetroCity buses14 May 2015

GHA Coaches has taken delivery of four Optare Solos and two Metrocity vehicles, as part of its fleet replacement programme.

The Wrexham-based operator's latest additions are part of a 230-strong fleet, operating from five depots across north Wales and Cheshire.

The 9m-long, slimline Euro 5 Solo SRs feature e-leather seats and headrests, laminate-style flooring, audio and visual announcement system, and WiFi and CCTV.

The company is trialling the 40-seater, 10.8m MetroCity vehicles for the first time. "We are very eager to see how this new type of vehicle to our fleet performs alongside established products on the market," says Stephen Bryce, GHA's general manager.

The operator has since ordered two more MetroCity buses from Optare.
