Operator’s give a positive Sprinter V6 verdict01 July 2011

County Durham-based Derek Cheesey has reported that his V6-engined Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 319CDI has clocked up an incredible 163,000 miles in its first 12 months and never missed a beat.

Cheesy also has nothing but good things to say about his previous experience of Sprinters, as his previous van covered more than half a million miles, hassle-free.

Supplied by Newcastle-upon-Tyne dealer Bell Truck & Van, the new vehicle is powered by a 190bhp, 440Nm Euro 5 engine, which is mated to a fully automatic, factory-fitted gearbox.

Working for Ionbond, an advanced coatings and coating equipment supplier, Cheesey travels throughout the UK in his van. "Ionbond works to a rapid turnaround, sometimes as fast as 24 hours to the customer's door, so it's vital we maintain our good name with customers by honouring that commitment," he says.

"Thanks to the reliability of my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, we know our reputation is in safe hands when it comes to collecting and returning their goods on time, every time," continues Cheesey.
