Operators go for gold with FORS04 April 2017

The number of operators joining the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) rose by 22% last year, and existing members progressed through the levels of accreditation with a rise of 49% for FORS Gold membership and 69% for FORS Silver.

The results are published in the FORS 2016 Annual Review (click the link below), which also reports on the success of the first members’ conference.

John Hix, FORS director, says the scheme’s regional growth has been impressive and the number of auditors has been boosted by 30% to cope with operator demand.

“I am particularly pleased to see such an impressive increase in Gold membership,” Hix adds.

“We expect 2017 to be another dynamic year for the scheme, and we will continue to work with our members to raise standards across the industry – to work towards safer, greener and more efficient operations,” he says.
