Orbcomm to showcase monitoring and telematics solutions17 April 2019

Orbcomm has announced it will be showcasing a range of new technologies at the CV Show (NEC; 30 April to 2 May), including truck, driver and tachograph management solutions, HACCP-compliant temperature recorders and an integrated cargo sensor and tracking device.

TachoVision gives transport managers access to live and historical data on drivers’ working hours, including rest periods, extended driving days and compensation rules. The system also offers remote downloading, driver infringement letters and driver compliance scoring.

TachoVision is part of Orbcomm’s truck management solution, which combines in-cab devices based on Android, BT 500 truck tracking hardware (pictured) and back-end reporting delivered via the company’s FleetManager system.

Also on show is the GT 1200 Series, a new ‘all-in-one’ solar-powered cargo sensor and tracking device for dry trailers and containers, with built-in tamper resistance and impact detection. Orbcomm says the sleek new design means the GT 1200 Series can be installed on all asset types, in either vertical or horizontal orientation.

Visitors to the stand can also see Orbcomm’s latest reefer monitoring systems – the Euroscan X3 temperature recorder and the HACCP-compliant Euroscan MX2 communication module. Both are GAMP 5 certified.
