Having evolved as a direct result of garages' growing use of the internet, Workshop Direct is aiming to capture the equipment and aftersales market.
Through the website http://www.workshopdirect.com, the company believes it can to assist with research, and give customers the opportunity to search and even purchase items at a time that is convenient to them, without being restricted to business hours.
The site also allows garages to purchase consumables for existing equipment such as filters and sensors for emission analysers, additional leads for diagnostic scan tools, and annual updates and subscriptions.
High profile brands such as Autodiagnos are already featured on the site, as well as other branded emission and diagnostic equipment. This will soon expand to include other brands of garage equipment.
"This is an exciting new venture for us. We wanted to produce a website that would be straightforward for customers to purchase from, and a platform to make comparisons on equipment available within the market," explains Katherine Murphy, marketing manager at Workshopdirect.com. "We bring the Workshop Direct website to the market as a fresh and unique concept for the garage trade."
