Palfinger completes crane manufacturer takeover 13 July 2011

As part of its expansion plan in Russia, the Palfinger Group has signed a contract that completes the takeover of Russian crane producer Inman.

Headquartered in Ishimbay in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Inman has, produced and distributed hydraulic lifting and loading systems, in particular knuckle boom cranes, since 1992.

"We were looking for a well-established and reliable partner based in the CIS area in order to establish local value creation," explains Herbert Ortner, CEO of Palfinger AG.

"Inman is a manufacturer of premium, reliable products and has a very strong and long-standing brand name. Its product portfolio is the perfect addition to Palfinger products."
