Panther coaches on the prowl for Eddie Brown06 April 2011

North Yorkshire coach operator Eddie Brown has added four Plaxton Panther coaches to its fleet.

The units, all based on the Volvo B9R chassis, are high-specification touring coaches, two for the company's own fleet and two for operation on Leger Holidays' upmarket Silver Service programme.

"Most of our frontline coaches are Plaxton Volvos," says Eddie Brown director Deirdre Brown. "Their quality is excellent, and I was impressed with the way they worked with us in developing bespoke specifications for our Diamond Traveller and VIP coaches – right down to helping us develop new liveries for each vehicle."

The two Silver Service coaches have 40 leather-trimmed reclining seats, and a separate rear lounge, behind a full-height glass partition, with four captain's chairs arranged around a centre table.

Eddie Brown was established over 60 years ago, and today operates 44 coaches from a modern depot on the outskirts of Wetherby.
