PDQ Specialist Courier Services chooses Carrier Transicold again 16 May 2016

Cheshire-based PDQ Specialist Courier Services has selected Carrier Transicold Pulsor 400 multi-temperature (MT) refrigeration units for a pair of new 3.5 tonne Mercedes-Benz panel vans used to transport temperature-critical medications and clinical trial deliveries across the UK and Europe.

PDQ managing director Brian Brennan says his company chose these van refrigeration units because of their ability to reach full capacity at engine speeds down to 1,000 rpm – meaning they can maintain temperature integrity throughout the delivery cycle.

That is due to their 3,825W cooling capacity and airflow of up to 1,030 m3 per hour.

“The product reliability and aftersales support we receive from Carrier Transicold is second to none,” states Brennan.

“The fact we invest in the best transport refrigeration equipment is key to why our customers trust us to carry their temperature-sensitive cargo,” he continues.

“Ensuring all fridge maintenance is carried out via the Carrier Transicold service network ... gives us peace of mind that our units are always in top condition,” he adds.

Both of the new panel vans are expected to average 100,000 miles per year during a projected three-year life in service.

They join a 25-strong fleet of commercial vehicles, all of which have been specified with Carrier Transicold refrigeration systems.
