Crafters handle coffee run for distributor19 September 2017

Pelican Rouge, a European leader in coffee roasting and solutions, has taken delivery of 62 Crafter vans through Midlands-based dealer Listers Volkswagen.

In the UK, the Crafters will be used to transport and deliver coffee machines, equipment and products. Pelican Rouge sells more than 25,000 tons of coffee and coffee ingredients each year, working with its dedicated customer support network across ten countries, which include France, England and Spain.

Pelican Rouge UK currently runs a fleet of approximately 550 light commercial vehicles and has chosen the Volkswagen Crafter as its vehicle of choice, due to its dependability and the added back up and support of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Van Centre network.

Over the next 18 months, Pelican Rouge UK aims to overhaul its fleet, and the new Volkswagen Crafter is to play a significant role.

Mark Hodgson, Pelican Rouge’s senior fleet manager for the UK and Ireland, commented: “Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is now the manufacturer of choice for Pelican Rouge. We are delighted with the choice; the Crafter is the ideal vehicle to improve and progress our business. Its excellent reliability, dependability and consistent performance are key reasons for our decision. Moving on, we are excited to take delivery of the new model over the course of the next couple of years.”
