Penny Hydraulics lifts the lid on £2m facility upgrade17 October 2017

Lifting equipment manufacturer Penny Hydraulics has completed a £2 million upgrade of its site in Clowne, Derbyshire, which includes a new manufacturing plant and warehousing facility.

It was officially opened earlier this month (5 October) by former Barclays Bank chairman Sir David Walker, a close friend of the Penny family.

As well as the new factory and warehouse, guests at the opening ceremony were shown numerous environmental improvements to existing facilities, including a new compressor, LED lighting and solar panels.

The project has already resulted in two more apprenticeship places; Penny will also be recruiting additional mechanical engineers, administrators, welders and fabricators.
