Long-serving Scania veteran Nigel Jones has been appointed to the position of regional executive director – South West for Scania (Great Britain). In his new role, Nigel will take responsibility for the overall performance Scania's 12 branches and two vehicle maintenance units within the region, which stretches from Bicester in Buckinghamshire to Land's End. He has worked within the Scania organisation for 20 years, firstly with West Midlands Scania dealer Keltruck, where he spent 11 years in the sales team, followed by nine years with Scania (Great Britain) Limited as regional sales director for the South West. His appointment adds responsibility for Scania's aftersales and supporting activities in the area to his portfolio.
The Road Haulage Association has announced changes to its policy team that will follow the retirement of Jack Semple in July. Rod McKenzie, currently director of marketing and communications, takes on the role of director of policy and public affairs, incorporating his current role. Duncan Buchanan takes on the new role of policy director, dealing with the day-to-day detail of RHA policy (and reporting to McKenzie). Duncan joined the RHA from the Department for Transport where he had been led operator licensing and roadworthiness policy for several years.

Jean-Michel Boyer has been appointed as the new CEO for BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions in the UK. As UK CEO of the asset finance company, Boyer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management for the 450-strong team, as well as overseeing key customer relationships.
