Pets at Home fleet gets new Cartwright trailers 02 June 2010

Distribution firm CM Downton has ordered 80 more curtainsiders and six double deck trailers from Cartwright Group, bringing its total to more than 580.

The new trailers are for the Gloucestershire based firm's Pets At Home fleet and incorporate several new features including a new rear buffer arrangement to reduce damage potential.

Says managing director Andrew Downton says of Cartwright: "In our view they are very good engineers who care passionately about their product. It was very important to our business that they could provide the flexibility we required as well as a competitively priced product to our bespoke requirements. They also offer competitive financial packages and good leasing rates."

Downton reckons that, when you add in Cartwright's trailer rental service, "there isn't a single source trailer provider in the marketplace that can provide everything the Cartwrights do".
