Premium economy calls for extra Renault investment 08 October 2012

A Renault Lander has joined the fleet at RL Holding Transport Services, after one of the manufacturer's Premium tractor units returned impressive fuel consumption figures for a year's full operation.

The Shropshire-based road haulage company has chosen a 26-tonne Premium Lander 460 6x2 rear steer with drawbar, supplied through Renault Trucks Midlands.

It has been equipped with a PM on-board crane and will be used to transport portable cabins to new building sites and events nationwide.

"The Renault Premium tractor unit has been running between 9.3 and 10mpg," explains Rob Holding, managing director and owner of RL Holding Transport.

"The Premium was originally taken as a demonstrator vehicle but we were so impressed that we ended up buying it. We are hoping to see more of the same with the new Renault Premium Lander."
