Price and Fretwell puts meat on bones with Masternaut 20 May 2015

Derbyshire-based catering butcher Price and Fretwell says it has seen improved driver behaviour across its fleet, since deploying what it describes as Masternaut’s next-generation telematics solution.

The firm runs 10 vehicles – refrigerated transit vans and company cars – and set its sights on reducing speeding, and incidents of harsh braking, acceleration and cornering.

Price and Fretwell general manager Kevin Chappell says Masternaut Connect provides the firm with reports identifying areas for improvement.

He also states that, in the three months since installation, he has seen a decrease in harsh driving events in excess of 60% as well as a 73% reduction in speeding.

And he says that fleet managers and customer service advisors also use Masternaut Connect to provide restaurants, hotels and pubs with precise updates on time of arrival and advise of any delays.

"Masternaut Connect has helped us to improve how we operate, by improving our driver's road safety and also ensuring we can give our customers 100% accurate information on when to expect their orders," comments Chappell.

"We're a small team, but Masternaut has helped to make us even more efficient and safe, and has provided us with fuel cost savings, ensuring the system pays for itself."
