RAM unveils next generation of vehicle tracking software12 March 2012

UK vehicle tracking company Remote Asset Management (RAM) has launched what it's calling a major innovation that promises to make tracking easier and more cost-effective.

The new system, dubbed RAM Evolution, is aimed at business owners and fleet managers, is web-based, and covers not only fleet management, but also monitoring of employees' hours, engine idling time and fuel efficiencies. It also handles route planning.

RAM's joint managing director Martin Davies says that RAM Evolution provides intuitive technology that gives users the ability to complete investigative tasks that would hitherto have been too difficult to tackle.

The interface is so intelligent, he says, that early trials have demonstrated a 22% reduction in administration time needed to manage the system, in addition to 10—15% increases in return on investment.

"We have always focused on ease of use for the customer but the improved user experience of RAM Evolution – something we feel represents a new era of vehicle tracking – will mean an even greater return on investment than before," states Davies.
