Ratcliff Palfinger acquires Ross and Bonnyman parts business 01 August 2011

Following the decision by R&B in early 2010 to cease manufacture of commercial tail lifts, Ratcliff Palfinger has agreed to purchase the right to supply R&B commercial spare parts.

The deal is subject to approval by the Office of Fair Trading but has been approved by the Competition Commission, and trading is due to commence today (1 August 2011).

Ratcliff Palfinger will also take on the existing R&B commercial vehicle tail lift warranty obligations. .

"Given the similar nature of the products and the shared customer base, I am sure that Ratcliff and the agents network will continue to provide a quality service to the commercial vehicle tail lift market," comments Alan Honig, chairman of Ross & Bonnyman.

And Paul Addis, managing director of Ratcliff Palfinger adds: "We wish to assure all R&B tail lift users that, via our 24-365 agent network, we will continue to look after their needs both in the supply of genuine commercial parts and to undertake warranty work, as required, in order to maintain their lifts in first class working order"

R&B will continue to supply spare parts for ambulance lifts and other retained products, direct to customers.
