Raymond Brown selects MAN tractor for manoeuvrability 23 March 2015

Raymond Brown Waste Solutions has taken delivery of a new TGS 26.440 6x4 tractor unit, following a 10-year absence from the German giant.

Steve Clasby, managing director of Raymond Brown, says on-site manoeuvrability was among the key deciding points.

Other factors included chassis ground clearance and an upright exhaust stack, both deemed important for landfill operations. .

"The overall price, along with the R&M package, made the vehicle an even more attractive proposition – plus the driver training, which counts towards Driver CPC," states Clasby.

The truck was also specified with full MAN telematics as part of the MAN Fleet Management package.

"Proof of the pudding has come in the shape of feedback from our driver, who reports that the truck performs exceedingly well on landfill sites, drastically reducing the need for tow-outs," reports Clasby.

The vehicle is already in service in conjunction with the company's bulk ejector trailer. it is operating out of Raymond Brown's Materials Recovery Facility situated at the A303 Enviropark.
