Recovery business reaps the rewards of live fuel data10 August 2015

National recovery business CMG Rescue has a live view of fuel stocks and use, thanks to two Nova fuel management units installed at its Newport Pagnell headquarters by Cameron Forecourt.

CMG commissioned the Nova units as an upgrade to a previous fuel management system.

The new solution links the units to a website, giving the company live fuelling information at any time and removing the need for daily polling.

As well as accurate fuel stock figures, CMG receives immediate warnings of low stocks, as well as alerts if any pumps fail or leak, or if there is an attempted unauthorised use.

Using mobile phone technology, key site individuals can receive texts and emails from the system to their phones.

With a 100-strong fleet and an annual fuel bill exceeding £1 million, Scott Willers, finance director of CMG Rescue, says the system is delivering valuable benefits.

"We have seen significant growth in our business and the system provided by Cameron Forecourt helps us to both streamline and improve fuel management operations here," states Willers.

"The fully integrated system that they provided enables us to keep a full track of fuel, our stock levels, and consumption," he adds.
