Recycling business specifies lightweight tipping gear for heavy-duty trucks12 May 2014

Hampshire-based Inert Recycling (UK) has taken delivery of six Euro 6 Mercedes Arocs heavy-duty tippers, extending its fleet size by 50%.

Fitted with lightweight Hyva FC137 tipping gears and Thompson all-steel Loadmaster bodywork, the vehicles are already in operation, moving inert waste to landfill, restoration or recycling sites.

"In our work, we need a genuinely heavy-duty vehicle specification to be able to properly handle every type of job that comes along," says Andy Crosswell, Inert's transport manager.

"One thing we do like is the latest Hyva tipping gear," he adds. "While the separate ram and tank FC137 is the lightest in its class, it's still designed and built for the arduous work we engage in."
