The Office of the Traffic Commissioner has confirmed the 2019 financial standing levels for standard operator licences will increase to £8,000 for the first vehicle and to £4,450 for each additional vehicle.

The new rates take effect from 1 January.

They apply for new applications and for operators making variation applications for their fleet.

The levels for restricted licences have not changed and remain at £3,100 for the first vehicle and £1,700 for each additional authorised vehicle.

The regulator’s statutory guidance document on finance will be amended to reflect the new rates.
