Reliability and service clinch two more deals for Scania coaches22 July 2015

Scania has announced it has delivered three more of its Irizar i6 coaches to operators, with the recipients citing reliability and service package as factors in their decision.

St Albans-based operator PPH Coaches has taken delivery of two Scania Irizar i6 vehicles, one of which is a 12.9m tri-axle 57-seater, the other a 12.45m 4x2 53-seater version.

PPH's owner Andy Hayes says the firm has always liked the Scania Irizar combination and adds: "The two-year repair and maintenance package that is included on the coaches make the complete package an attractive one for operators."

Stafford-based Leons Holidays has taken delivery of one Irizar i6, based on the K 360 Euro 5 chassis with fully automated Opticruise gear selection system.

The vehicle has 53 reclining seats, centre toilet, drinks machine, DVD player and two monitors, seat back tables and Durabright alloy wheels.

Director Andy Douglas describes it as "a great workhorse vehicle".
