Renault light commercials see Euro 6 and upgrades 15 July 2016

Renault is now offering enhanced specifications on its Kangoo, Trafic and Master vans, with new Euro 6 Energy engines throughout and most claimed to deliver more power and efficiency than Euro 5.

Additionally, more variants have been added across Renault’s LCV ranges – with 40 new configurations for the Renault Master alone – while Thatcham-approved alarms are now standard on all of its Euro 6 LCVs.

By offering Euro 6 engines now, Renault is conforming to the legislation change that becomes effective from September.

Renault’s latest Euro 6 engines use SCR (selective catalytic reduction) after-treatment, and the firm claims that the versions available on its Trafic’s vans are allmore powerful than their Euro 5 predecessors – by 5bhp.

These encompass the single turbo dCi 95 and dCi 120 engines, together with the twin turbo Energy dCi 125 and Energy dCi 145 engines.

Euro 6 Master engines also use SCR and are claimed to deliver a 5—10bhp upgrade in power, depending on version.

Euro 6 Master engines now comprise the single turbo dCi 110, Energy dCi 110 and dCi 130, together with the twin turbo Energy dCI 145, Energy dCi 170 (front-wheel drive versions) and Energy dCi 165 (rear-wheel drive applications).

The full range of Euro 6 Renault LCVs are available to order now. The Kangoo is priced from £14,150, the Trafic costs from £19,325 and the Master starts from £22,270 (all prices exclude VAT).
