Renault Range K gains traction with McAuliffe Civil Engineering14 October 2014

McAuliffe Civil Engineering has taken delivery of its first Euro 6 Renault Range K heavy construction trucks – four K430.32 8x4 trucks with steel tipping bodies.

Supplied by Renault Trucks Midlands, the new vehicles went into operation in September and are replacements for vehicles in Wolverhampton-based McAuliffe's 10-strong Renault and Volvo fleet.

"We were really impressed with the performance of the Range K during demonstrations," says Steve McAuliffe, director.

"In particular it has good ground clearance and great traction, which is imperative in challenging construction environments."

Driver feedback, he adds, has been positive: "They are delighted with the roomier cabs and are commenting on the lighter steering and increased visibility."

The Range Ks will be used to deliver aggregates and remove waste for new home builds.
