Supplied by Renault Trucks Scotland, the Range T430 6x2 rigid with sleeper cab is fitted with a 31ft fully galvanised curtainsided body by Lothian Vehicle bodybuilders. It also features a 2-tonne Dhollandia Cantilever tail lift, which forms a complete rear closure on the vehicle, as well as internal load restraints and v-groove side rave.
Owner Gordon Hunter says: “I’ve run Renault Midlums in the past and had no trouble at all. I’ve also received first-class service from Renault Trucks Scotland, so moving to the new Euro 6 vehicles was a logical next step for me. Lothian Vehicle Bodybuilders have also been fantastic.”
The Range T is living up to its fuel promise, he adds: “It has already done 14,500km in four weeks, including runs to Southampton, Swansea and Inverness, and the fuel consumption has been an impressive 12.5mpg which I expect will improve further as the engine runs in.”
Hunter says he is hands-on in the business and often drives the trucks himself, including the Range T which he says “goes like a dream”. He says: “It’s attracting loads of attention from drivers on deliveries. Other hauliers are stopping me to ask about the truck and I often hear the words ‘nice wagon’. All I can say is wow, what a truck, it’s a real show stopper and I absolutely love it.”
