Renault Range T ‘ticks all the boxes’ for CP Long23 December 2016

Haulage firm CP Long Transport has taken delivery of its first Renault vehicle, a 44-tonne Range T520 6x2 tractor, after a demonstrator notched up 1mpg better fuel performance than the marque the new vehicle is replacing.

Clive Long, owner of the Devon-based operator, says the fuel performance was “the most impressive feature”, but says the maintenance package and competitive price sealed the deal.

“We are working the Range T very hard, it’s fully loaded and operating on some challenging roads in Devon and Cornwall, but it’s holding up extremely well and we are very pleased,” says Long.

“We definitely made the right decision in switching to Renault Trucks and I will certainly be considering them for any future vehicle needs.”

The Range T is proving popular with drivers, too, he adds: “It’s a really good lorry. They like all the extra room in the cab and have made several positive comments about how quiet and how nice it is overall to drive.

“Keeping our drivers happy is crucial to running a successful operation and the Range T is certainly ticking all the boxes. “

The vehicle was supplied through Renault Trucks South West, whose team is “brilliant” adds Long. “The truck went in last week and it was back out on the road with minimal downtime. I can’t ask for more than that.”
