RHA to deliver workshop programme at Microlise event28 February 2017

The Road Haulage Association has announced that it will deliver a full workshop programme called ‘Driving Britain’s Future’ at the Microlise Transport Conference (17 May; Ricoh Arena, Coventry).

The RHA’s policy director Jack Semple (pictured) will lead the programme, which will cover topics such as industry image and the skills shortage, the impact of Brexit on hauliers, and driver health and welfare.

Semple will be joined by deputy policy directors Colin Snape and Duncan Buchanan in a purpose built workshop space, found within the exhibition area of the conference, which is expected to welcome over 1,200 delegates.

“We are excited to be returning again to the Microlise Transport Conference – a must-attend event for anyone working in haulage and fleet operations,” says Richard Burnett, RHA chief executive of the RHA.

“The conference has become a key date in the industry calendar and our programme will give delegates the opportunity to learn about a wide range of crucial topics at the top of the agenda for industry professionals.”

The main conference will include representatives from the DVSA, Eddie Stobart and the traffic commissioners, with more speakers to be announced in the coming weeks. The event will again be chaired by award-winning motoring journalist, TV presenter and campaigner Quentin Willson.
