Ricardo-AEA runs hydrogen fuel station competition 04 February 2015
Ricardo-AEA has been selected, in partnership with E4tech, to deliver OLEV’s (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) hydrogen refuelling stations infrastructure grant scheme, which aims to support the roll out of a network for servicing fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
Grant funding of £3.5 million will be provided to develop up to seven hydrogen refuelling stations, with a further £2 million made available to upgrade a further eight existing demonstration refuelling stations.
Ricardo-AEA will oversee the submission of infrastructure proposals via its web portal, before technically reviewing them and making formal recommendations to OLEV.
Technical experts within Ricardo-AEA and E4tech will judge applications on how well they meet a range of criteria, including the role they propose to play in an early hydrogen network.
The competition opened on 2 February 2015 and applicants are being invited to register their interest via the online portal on Ricardo-AEA's website. Closing date is 6 March 2015.
