Rioned cleans up with Isuzu 7.5-tonne chassis11 July 2017

Drain and sewer cleaning machine supplier Rioned is reporting significant success since partnering with Isuzu to offer its Jet-Vac combination units on the truck maker’s 7.5-tonne rigid chassis.

Rioned worked with Isuzu Truck and dealer Ditchburn Trucks on the design. Fitted on to the Isuzu 7.5-tonne Forward N75.150 Urban chassis, the unit has a high-performance vacuum pump and can be supplied with several high-pressure pump configurations, together with a PTO drive facility.

The suction hose connects to a 3,000- or 3,500-litre tank. The hydraulically operated hose reel pivots 180° for ease of operation and the hose extends to 100 metres. The unit also has storage for hoses, CCTV units and other tools.

More than 30 of the vehicles are now in service with drainage contractors and utility companies, says Rioned.

One such operator is Rochester-based MTS Cleaning Services, which has taken delivery of four Isuzu rigids fitted with Rioned Flexcom combination Jet-Vac units.

MTS sales director Chris Henderson says: “The company and our operatives are all very pleased with the new vehicle fleet. The trucks offer great versatility to our customers as they can get into spaces where larger vehicles would normally struggle.”
