Riverside Truck Rental selects Intertruck for parts programme 25 September 2013

Riverside Truck Rental has agreed a a three-year commercial vehicle parts programme, worth in excess of £2 million, with distributor Intertruck.

The deal was signed at the RWM (Recycling and Waste Management) event, with Russell Markstein, sales director at Riverside Truck Rental, acknowledging that Intertruck had demonstrated its capability to match the aftermarket parts requirements of the waste management industry.

"This is a hugely important contract for us and will enable us to meet our aggressive growth targets and to further improve our service levels over the next three years," states Markstein.

"Whether in the private or public sector, the challenge is to manage parts effectively, without compromising on quality, reliability and performance," he continues.

"We chose to work with Intertruck as they clearly demonstrated how they are able improve our business efficiencies and processes, which will enable us to improve our customer service even further and to achieve value, without sacrificing quality."

Riverside Truck Rental has a fleet of more than 1,200 vehicles, supplying the commercial and municipal sectors from depots across the country. The fleet includes waste handling trucks, large plant, commercial vehicles, heavy plant and other equipment.

Intertruck will serve the company from its national network of over 30 branches, supplying a wide range of parts and spares for truck, trailer, light commercial vehicle, municipal specialist and off-highway.
