RJK Logistics ready for the future with MAN Trucks to Go 31 January 2017

Staffordshire-based RJK Logistics has taken delivery of three MAN tippers, delivered ‘road-ready’ from the manufacturer’s Trucks to Go offering.

First formed to provide logistics services for sister company Maplevale Holmes, RJK Logistics has expanded and taken on other clients – and, says RJK’s managing director Simon Phillips, the Trucks to Go offer delivers on all counts.

He says: “The MAN Trucks to Go offering, combined with the R&M contract and the support of MAN Financial Services, meant the marque was overall very competitive.

“The tippers are fit for purpose and needed very few minor tweaks to create what could be considered bespoke vehicles for us.”

The new additions are two MAN TGS 35.400 tippers and a TGS 32.400 tipper, with the latter providing an impressive payload with its alloys and lighter body.

“Since the Euro 6 criteria were introduced, vehicles have been carrying a heavier unladen weight, but this vehicle is offering a payload close to 20 tonnes – which is certainly one of the best payloads on the market,” says Phillips.

He adds: “We are currently looking to acquire another MAN to add to our fleet and are in the process of working out all the specifications.”
