Rogers Transport hooked on benefits of Stralis XP06 March 2019

Rogers Transport has taken delivery of its first Stralis XP tractor from IVECO, citing potential fuel savings and “exceptional” dealer support.

Supplied by dealer Hendy Truck & Van, the Hampshire-based operator’s new addition is a Stralis XP 6x2 mid lift and joins a 15-strong mixed fleet, which is now almost 50% IVECO.

The vehicle is powered by a 503bhp Cursor 13 engine and paired with a 12-speed Hi-Tronix automated transmission. It also features the Hi-Cruise system, which uses GPS to enable predictive cruise control, gear-shifting and eco-roll.

Drivers benefit from the premium Hi-Way cab, with its internal height of nearly 2m and more than 10m3 of space.

Simon Rogers, owner of Rogers Transport, says: “We keep coming back to IVECO because the standard of service we enjoy from the dealer network is exceptional. A truck is only as good as the dealers behind it, and IVECO has never let us down.”

The Stralis is supplied with an eight-year R&M package, including the manufacturer’s new uptime guarantee which promises compensation if the vehicle is not back on the road within 24 hours of a breakdown.

The operator will also receive by email a weekly ‘TCO2 Smart Report’, which details the fuel consumption and performance of the vehicle and driver.

The truck is expected to be in operation until 2027, clocking up between 80,000 and 100,000km per year.
