Roofing firm fixed on Isuzu23 January 2018

North West Roofing Supplies has taken delivery of four new Isuzu Urban 7.5-tonne rigids, describing the trucks as “the perfect tool” for the job.

The operator’s first Isuzu joined the fleet in 2003 and the latest additions – supplied by dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre – are the third generation of the vehicle to join its 26-strong fleet.

With four depots across the North West, and one 7.5-tonner per depot, the company replaces four vehicles at a time. The latest Urban N75.150 rigids are replacing vehicles purchased in 2012.

“We have had no issues at all with any of the 2012 spec Isuzus and the main reason for changing them is the opportunity to fit a larger 6.5m dropside body on to the new chassis so that they can comfortably carry the longest timber batons that we deliver to site,” says Steve Phillips, managing director.

He adds: “Without a shadow of a doubt, Isuzus are the perfect tool for our job. We cannot speak highly enough of the importance of all the Isuzus in our fleet over the past 14 years.”

As well as the 7.5-tonners, North West Roofing Supplies has two Isuzu 3.5-tonne Grafter dropside trucks.
